I started my enquiry into Global Citizenship as part of an 8-month EU-funded project. One part of the project brings together 21 educational activists from 16 European countries to explore and develop new perspectives and practices in the sphere of Global Citizenship Education.
As it says on the website, "Bridge 47 – Building Global Citizenship is a project co-created and implemented by 15 European and global civil society organisations. It seeks to mobilise and empower global civil society to contribute to a transformation towards global justice and eradication of poverty through Global Citizenship Education (GCE)."
The conversations I hope to be having with people over the next couple of weeks are part of the Explorative Phase, after which I will reconvene with the other project participants to share experiences, thoughts, and ideas. Then we will move on to an Action Experiment, the nature of which is as of yet unknown. Finally, in April 2019, we will present our findings at the Bridge47 Global Conference during the International Civil Society Week in Serbia.
